Designed in 1973 by James Houston and only available for a few years, the 10" wide and 6" high #0153 Snipe Bowl features a rim cut in an undulating contour--engraved with a wisp of snipe flying over wind-whipped reeds in an endless whirl. Native to the coastal regions of both old and new worlds, the snipe is among the most graceful and fastest of game birds. Properly signed and in excellent condition with original red leather case.

Beaver/Houston Limited Edition of 20

Introduced in 1979 as a companion piece to his #0241 Raccoon, the 8 1/2" wide #0262 Beaver is a James Houston limited edition of 20. This outstanding design features a crystal roundel--copper wheel engraved on the back with a beaver poised on a dam of sticks. Preparing to enlarge its construction project, the beaver gnaws on a tree branch. Its small, rounded ears are pricked, its eyes vigilant. A characteristic flat tail is partly submerged in a stream. Properly signed, in excellent condition and beautifully presented in the original red leather case.

Sea Sword/James Houston

Designed by James Houston in 1983, the 8 3/4" #0343 Sea Sword is a limited edition of 50. The solid crystal form is cut to suggest the waves of the sea---copper wheel engraved on the back is a giant swordfish rising to its prey of tiny fish. Reflections of the swordfish may be seen through the cut facets of the form. The swordfish has been called the greatest of all American big game fish and the most difficult to land.
